Coming soon to this site:  Our 35 years of masonry restoration and repair and our 31 years of Chimney Sweeping experience, the longest continually operated chimney sweep company in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. 

We are Liscensed and insured.  Fully experienced in all aspects of new masonry chimney construction and repair.  We also install class-A pre-fabricated chimneys and install wood, gas, pellet and glass fireplace door installation with our own in-house crew.

For the record, we have restored chimneys and fireplaces on some of the oldest dwellings in the towns of Longmeadow, East Longmeadow, Northampton, Wilbraham, Palmer, Ludlow and many more western Massachusetts towns and cities.  A complete photo album of our work will be posted to this site soon, so watch for it.

Vermont Casting's Gas Grills model 4007
400 - 600 square inches of cooking surface and 125 square inch warming rack with 37,500 - 62,000 BTUs of raw cooking power, The Vermont Signature series smokes rings around the cheaper earlier made versions once offered at Home Depot stores. Comes with Black Porcelain Coated cast iron end caps, Porcelain or stainless steel hood (model 3007 and up).    Heavier cast iron cooking grids, stainless steel sear plates, electronic ignition and 3 piece cabinet construction that the big box models don't have. The 2003/07/08 models are well worth the extra money to upgrade to a quality gas BBQ.

Note 2008:  Vermont Casting's grills are no longer available in Home Depot stores as of Spring 2006.  All 2008 models of the Vermont Casting's grill are now made in China.  With this in mind, and the need for some consumers need to support American and Canadian made grills, we have good news.  2007 models are still available in amble quantities in all three previously produced sizes. 

SPECIAL, SPECIAL!  We have discovered a "Gold Mine" of some 2003/04 models of the Vermont Castings grill, hidden in a remote corner of one of our supplier's warehouses.  While very limited in quantity, we feel that the 2003/04 Vermont Casting's models were the best Vermont Casting's grills ever made!  All the stainless steel used on the 03/04 models was the higher grade 304 series.  Plus, some even had an oven burner.   All castings were produced in Vermont.   Limited supplies now available in both natural gas and propane.  Priced hundreds of dollars less than dealer's cost in 2003.  Models currently in inventory (model VC100 and VC 200 start at only $899.99.

The Backyard Barbecuer News
In 1991-2000, Publisher's Gary and Richard Bertassi, creators of the Backyard Barbecuer News, delighted their loyal readership and advertisers, with quality and pertinent articles about New England style grilling and barbecuing events.

Their copyrighted and trademarked segments like "Barbecue Bound" a BBQ restaurant review section,  and the BBQnection, The Backyard Barbecuer's classified page,  allowed thousands of ordinary New Englanders to learn, improve and enjoy their backyard barbecue experience.  Readership on each issue is approximately 30,000 and BBQ vendors make up 1/2 of the publication's pages with editorial content filling in the rest.

Regency's wood Fireplace Insert
The Regency Fireplace Insert is one of the best that we have ever sold in our over 30 years of sales and installations of wood stove.  Our company was found in 1969 primarily as a Mason Contracting firm.  Founded by Felix Bertassi, a second generation mason, son Gary started learning the business after school and during the summer school breaks.  In 1977, another son, Richard started into the business and a chimney sweeping operation was started.  It was named:  Residential's Chimney Sweep Company.  Up until the retail was established in 1983, stoves were sold to an existing client base.  All chimney, facade, repairs, restorations and installation were done in-house as they are still done today.  Gary and his wife Trena now operate the business and brother Richard helps out on occassion.  The founder Felix, died in July of 2003 and is much missed.  Through thousands of chimney and stove installation, sweeping and you name it, we had interaction with dozens of stove manufacturers.  Regency was added about 10 years ago and it has been such a wonderful product line, that when it came time to replace the old Oregon certified stove at Gary's house, the Regency free-standing wood stove came home.

We are sorry to annouce that one of the founders of the Vidalia grill, Mr. Fletcher Jones, of Vidalia Georgia,  passed away after a long illness this past March.  A man of intergrity with a booming enchanting voice , one enhanced with laughter and joy, will be missed.   His memory lives on in the accomplishments that have made the Vidalia one of the most innovative grills ever to be made in America.  We dedicate our Quality Grill and Smoker sector in memory and honor of this wonderful man.

Dell was one of the first magazines (alone with Sunset) to offer specific bbq subjects.  This one is in excellent shape and while consisting of primarily lots of mouth watering recipes, the graphic for grills of there time are also present

This 4 piece set comes to us from Weber prior to bar-coding.  Box is in good condition as are the utensiles inside.  BBQ tools and accessories of the 50's and 60's were much more sophisticated than they are today.  Hmn.....what does that say?
